This week, Pineridge School has been energized by the exciting work happening through our dance residency with Pulse Studios. Every class has been actively participating, exploring movement in creative and meaningful ways. While students are learning foundational dance skills, the residency goes far beyond choreography.

Through their sessions, students have been developing an understanding of patterning—recognizing and creating sequences in movement that connect to broader learning across subjects. They have also been engaging in story creation, using dance as a way to express ideas, emotions, and narratives. This process has encouraged students to think imaginatively while building confidence in their expressive abilities.

It has been wonderful to see students collaborating, taking creative risks, and growing both artistically and personally. The energy and enthusiasm in the gym and classrooms have been truly inspiring. Thank you to our School Council who were instrumental in bringing this opportunity to our students.

We are excited to invite parents, guardians and families to our final performance on Friday, May 8 at 10:00 AM. This will be a special opportunity to see the culmination of all the students’ hard work and creativity. We hope you can join us to celebrate their achievements!
