Despite a very cold week, learning continued in full force across Pineridge School! In Physical Education, students kept building their knowledge of the Olympics by exploring different events, practicing related skills, and discussing the values of perseverance and sportsmanship. In classrooms, students deepened their understanding of science by making meaningful connections through art, using creativity to represent scientific concepts and demonstrate their learning in new ways. Grade 6 Social Studies lessons focused on the rights and freedoms, sparking thoughtful discussions about leadership and citizenship. In math, students strengthened their understanding of key concepts through engaging card games that promoted strategic thinking, number sense, and collaborative problem-solving. Even with the chilly temperatures, our classrooms were filled with energy, curiosity, and continued growth!
