As we move closer to the end of another successful school year, there has been plenty to celebrate throughout our school this week. Classrooms have remained busy with students continuing to work hard in their literacy and numeracy learning. Teachers and students have been focused on consolidating key skills, demonstrating growth, and finishing the year strong. It has been wonderful to see students showing perseverance, engagement, and pride in their learning as they complete projects, participate in classroom activities, and prepare for the final weeks of the school year.
One of the highlights of the week was our Cultural Day celebration. Students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and games representing different cultures from around the world. The day provided a valuable opportunity for students to learn about, appreciate, and celebrate the diversity that makes our school community so special. Whether trying a new game, learning about cultural traditions, or connecting with classmates through shared experiences, students embraced the spirit of the day with enthusiasm and curiosity. We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our School Council for generously providing freezies for all students. The cool treat was a much-appreciated addition to a fun-filled day.
This week was also an important milestone for our Grade 6 students as they gathered for their Farewell Celebration. The event provided an opportunity to recognize their accomplishments, celebrate their contributions to our school community, and reflect on the memories they have created throughout their elementary years. We are incredibly proud of our Grade 6 students and the leadership, resilience, and growth they have demonstrated during their time at our school. As they prepare to transition to junior high, we know they will continue to achieve great things.
A special thank you goes to one of our generous parents for donating flowers for each of our Grade 6 students. This thoughtful gesture helped make the celebration even more meaningful.
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we want to thank our students, staff, families, volunteers, and School Council members for their ongoing support and commitment to making our school such a positive and welcoming place to learn. We look forward to finishing the year strong and celebrating the many successes of our students in the days ahead.
