This week was important as students learned about the meaning of Remembrance Day and we had our Remembrance Day Ceremony. We had a thoughtful Ceremony run by some of our amazing student leaders. In classrooms there were lessons around why we recognize this day and why it matters.

In our classrooms there was also rich learning happening in all subjects that focused on connecting different outcomes between subjects. Some students in Grade 6 shared that they were learning narrative writing skills but enjoyed connecting it reflections about Remembrance Day. It is always a joy to see the excitement that students have for the different subjects in each classroom and how they bring their personal interests and connect them to outcomes in each subject.
