Truth and Reconciliation Day
This week there was no school on Tuesday as we recognized the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. At school students learned about why we recognize this important day and did activities to further their knowledge.
Terry Fox Run
On Thursday we had our annual Terry Fox run! We started with an assembly hosted by our Student Leaders and then the whole school went to honour Terry's legacy by running and walking as much as they could. Each student put in an amazing effort! Thank you to some of our School Council members who came and cheered us on!
The Learning Continues
Constable McDonald from the Calgary Police Service returned this week to present to Grades 2, 3 4 and 5. Students were able to learn about the role of the police officer, the traits police officers should have and what equipment the police use to help keep everyone safe.
Students were also working hard again in their classrooms this week covering important topics like the importance of maps, day vs. night and why kindness matters.
