Police presentations, cultural activity day and an open house make for a busy week!
This week was full of exciting learning and community connections at Pineridge School!
Grade 1, Kindergarten, and EES students enjoyed a special visit from Constable McDonald of the Calgary Police, where they learned about safety and the important role police officers play in our community.
We also held a cultural activity day, giving students the opportunity to explore different dances, games, and stories from a variety of cultures. We started the day with a whole school assembly that recognized the importance of Truth and Reconciliation. It was great to see students share their culture, learn about other cultures and take on leadership roles to run the event!
We also welcomed families to our open house, where students proudly shared their school with their families had a chance to connect with teachers and see the wonderful work happening in classrooms.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening so wonderful!
