It’s hard to believe we have already wrapped up our second week of school! It has been a wonderful week filled with learning, connection, and lots of positive energy throughout our school.

Our library is now open, and it has been fantastic to see classes visiting and making use of this important space. We are excited to see our students developing their love of reading and taking advantage of all that the library has to offer.

Across the school, literacy and numeracy instruction is visible in our classrooms, with students actively engaged in learning, practicing new skills, and building strong foundations. It is wonderful to see the learning taking place in classrooms as we settle into our routines for the year.

We also experienced a little taste of Calgary weather this week with some heavier rain that led to an indoor recess. While it changed our plans for a short time, it was a great reminder that the weather in Calgary can change quickly! Our students and staff adapted well and made the most of the indoor time.

Next week, we will hold our first School Council meeting of the year on Monday at 6:00pm. All parents and guardians are warmly invited to attend. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our school, meet other members of our school community, and hear about the great work School Council does to support our students and school. Whether you are new to the school or have been part of our community for years, we would love to see you there!
